A DIY ball ornament garland is really easy to make! All you need is fishing wire and lots of ball ornaments. I used a variety of different-sized ornaments in the same color… some glitter ornaments and some shiny ornaments.
How do you make a garland from Dollar Tree?
I made this garland using Dollar Tree Christmas ball ornaments. You can buy a set of ball ornaments for $1 making this Dollar Tree garland super affordable!
How To Make The Dollar Tree DIY Christmas Ornament Garland:
Supplies:
- 4 packs Large Ball Ornaments
- 4 packs Medium Ball Ornaments
- 4 packs Small Ball Ornaments
- Fishing Line
Directions:
- Gather Supplies. Watch the video below for more instructions.
- Measure and cut 4-6 feet of fishing line. I used $12 in Dollar Tree ornaments to make a 4-foot ball garland. I have a 6-foot garland on my mantel which cost around $16 to make.
- Start by creating a loop with a knot at the end of the fishing line. The loop is how you will pick up the garland.
- Tie the first ornament at the end where the loop starts but make sure the loop is still accessible.
- Start adding ornaments randomly in various sizes and finishes. Carefully slide each ornament to the end of the garland until you have something like this.
- Tie the last ornament the same as you did the first and tie another large loop at the end, just like you did on the other end.
- Hang the garland on a mantel, shelf, or use it as a table centerpiece.
