I started Simple Made Pretty in January 2016 to showcase my biggest passions: organizing, simplifying, home décor, DIY projects, and crafting.
I grew up on a farm with 5 siblings and was raised to work hard with a simple lifestyle. I learned how to sew, clean, cook, and live frugally at a young age.
I found that many of my close friends did not have the hand-made, home-grown roots as I did and would always comment on my creativity and my “Martha-Stewart-like” characteristics.
Those same friends encouraged me to share my passions with others and the Simple Made Pretty blog was born.
My family is my inspiration for all that I do. My husband is my biggest supporter and he is what keeps our family going each day…he is one of my greatest blessings and I am forever grateful for him.
