Snickerdoodle Scones Recipe

My grandmother had the best recipes and this scone recipe was one of them! The best part about this recipe is that it doesn’t call for eggs (so you can save your eggs for another recipe) but it’s still moist and fluffy. This recipe was originally my grandmother’s recipe for Christmas scones, which included dried cranberries, and orange peel. However, my family loved it without the cranberries (especially my son who loves snickerdoodle cookies). Keep reading and watch the video to see how to make these Easy & Delicious Snickerdoodle Scones Recipe!

In case you are in a hurry…

✅ This is the ceramic scone pan I use to make scones super fast and mess-free! This is the pastry cutter I use for pie crusts and this scone recipe.

Scones that taste like Snickerdoodle Cookies

These Snickerdoodle Scones taste good because they are made with high-quality ingredients, have the right ratio of dry-to-wet ingredients, are lightly sweetened, and are cooked at the right temperature. Additionally, the use of butter or yogurt helps to make them extra moist and flavorful.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 and1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2cup cold butter
  • 1/4 cup vanilla coconut yogurt
  • 1/4 cup orange juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a cup, mix cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and 1/4 cup sugar.
  4. Use a pastry blender to cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Stir in yogurt and orange juice until they are blended.
  6. Place the dough into a scone pan.
  7. Sprinkle scones with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  8. Bake 10-12 minutes.

If you do not have a scone pan, you can roll the dough into a 1/2-inch thickness on a floured surface, cut it with a round biscuit cutter, and 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
