A year ago, I decided to stop wishing we had a bigger home with more storage and a craft room/guest room and started making the most of what I had.

I took our formal living room and designed my dream craft room that doubled as a cozy guest room.

The secret to making it cozy while surrounded by craft supplies is…

1. Aesthetic. The shelves are organized and color-coded, making them appealing to the eye.

2. Luxurious bedding. Fluffy pillows, a Bohemian comforter, a fur throw blanket, and the best sheets make a big difference in a guest room.

I also added a mattress topper since a pull-out sofa mattress can lack comfort.

Where To Store Guest Room Bedding When You Have Zero Storage

One problem with a smaller home is the lack of storage. Where do you put extra blankets, bedding, and linens for guests when not in use?

My hack is to Use a large pillow cover and use it as a pillow!

I tried this hack with towels too… although the “pillows” are heavier with towels, this hack can work for any linens. Use Fluffy pillows, a Bohemian comforter, fur throw blanket, and cozy sheets as a pillow for your guest room… and now you have a storage hack for it all!
