Cheap Cricut Supplies
I love finding a good deal on Cricut vinyl craft supplies and I tend to stock up on Cricut craft supplies during sales (Cricut.com has the best Black Friday sale!) but Cricut supplies can be expensive! One question I’m frequently asked is where can I buy Cricut supplies? Well, not only will I share where you can buy Cricut supplies, but where to find discount Cricut supplies! My favorite store to find Cricut supplies cheap is the Dollar Store. Keep reading to see all 30 Cricut Craft Supplies From Dollar Tree!
If you’re curious (or in a hurry)…
It’s an excellent Cricut Machine and yet, you’ll also find that it is one of the cheapest options you’ll find online.
It’s available in several colors and gets great reviews. If you can get it for under $300, grab it. That’s one heck of a deal on a Cricut machine! See color choices, check the current price & read reviews here.
Cricut vinyl supplies at a good price are hard to find. I love crafting and making something myself rather than buying it, but sometimes the cost of supplies outweighs the cost of just buying the ready-made item. I looked for Cricut supplies at Walmart, Cricut.com, Expressions.com, Micheal’s Stores, and Hobby Lobby, but the most affordable and cheap Cricut supplies can be found at the Dollar Tree!
I first discovered Cricut Supplies from Dollar Tree when I purchased the Dollar Store contact paper. I tested the Contact paper at the Dollar Tree to see if it was a similar quality to Cricut.com transfer paper and to my surprise, Dollar Tree contact paper was a winner!
I wondered what other Cricut supplies I might be missing that I could buy from the Dollar Tree so I went shopping and came up with this list with 30 Cricut Supplies You Should Buy from the Dollar Store.
Learning how to use your Cricut is really easy and fun once you get the hang of it. If you don’t have a Cricut Access Membership, I highly recommend it. I’ve had a Cricut Access Membership for years and it’s definitely worth the minimal cost for all the benefits!
What is Cricut Access?
You may have seen or heard about Cricut Access from Cricut or another blogger. Cricut Access is a membership that gives you 10% off your Cricut purchases (and various other offers and discounts) and access to thousands of images and fonts in Cricut Design Space.
I have a Cricut Access Membership, which provides me with thousands of free images to come up with some Cricut craft ideas. Be sure to check Cricut Design Space for some free Cricut projects! Some of the free Cricut DIY projects in Cricut Design Space can be used to sell (which makes the membership fee worth it in my opinion!).

Dollar Tree Card Stock
Yes, I found glitter cardstock at Dollar Tree! This cardstock has a sticky background so it can be used as vinyl!
Construction Paper
Construction paper is not the same as cardstock but if you cut as “light-weight cardstock” you can still get good use out of construction paper found at the Dollar Tree.
Try making greeting cards, party supplies (banners, cupcake wrappers & toppers, etc), and more using Dollar Store construction paper and your Cricut machine.
–>>Get Dollar Store Construction Paper here
Dollar Tree Copy Paper
Plain white printer paper can be used to create Print then Cut Cricut projects! Of course, you need a printer to print then cut with your Cricut machine 😉 but you can also use the pen/marker feature on copy paper.

Wax Paper at Dollar Tree
Wax paper can be used in a variety of Cricut craft projects (here are a few found on Pinterest).
Freezer Paper
Freezer paper can be used to make stencils and found some awesome freezer paper Cricut craft ideas here!
Dollar Tree Parchment Paper
You can also use parchment paper with Cricut crafts! Here are some ideas to use parchment paper and your Cricut machine.
Aluminum Foil
Aluminum foil is a trick that Cricut users do when they need to sharpen their blades. You can also use it for embossing with your Cricut! Check out these Cricut aluminum foil ideas.
Cricut Mat Scraper Tool Cheap
Why spend money on a basic Cricut toolset (starting at $25) when you can find tools at the Dollar Tree? I came across this chopper/scraper in the kitchen section that can be used as a smoothing tool or Scraper to burnish material and clean all cutting mats.
Cricut Weeding Tool Cheap
I use my Cricut Weeding tool A LOT but if I lost it, I could use these metal picks with a sharp edge to weed and remove tiny negative cuts.
Dollar Tree also has these piercing and scoring tools in the Crafters Square stores!
✅ Our Favorite Cricut Dollar Tree Item
This is the specific Cricut supply item that I stock up from Dollar Tree.
It’s an excellent brand, you’ll also find that it is one of the cheapest options you’ll find online.
It’s available in several colors and gets great reviews. If you can get it for under $6, grab it. That’s one heck of a deal on a Cricut contact paper! See choices, check the current price & read reviews here.
Contact Paper
This is my Favorite Dollar Tree Cricut hack of all! I saw this Clear Shelf liner at Dollar Tree and used it as Transfer Tape for Cricut vinyl projects and it works like a charm!
Why spend $7.99 a small roll for transfer paper (contact paper) when you can get a huge roll at the Dollar Tree? I just love this product!
You can even use these Dollar Tree Clear Contact Paper on your Cricut mats so the sticky side doesn’t wear as fast!
–>>Get Dollar Store Clear Shelf Liner (Transfer Tape) here
Cricut Dollar Store Vinyl (Dollar Tree Magic Cover)
Oh yeah, I bet you didn’t know the Dollar Tree carries Vinyl!
I found it in the school supplies section and it’s called “Magic Cover.” It’s used to cover school books but I tested this vinyl and used it to make a farmhouse sign!
Set your machine to “washi tape” to cut this delicate vinyl, which is removable (I wouldn’t use this vinyl on mugs/cups since it’s not a permanent vinyl).
–>>Get Dollar Store Magic Cover (Vinyl) here
Cricut Pens & Markers Cheap
If you have a Cricut machine with the pen holder, you already know how quickly the Cricut pens dry out (and they can be expensive to replace after just a few uses!). So I tried a few pens from the Dollar Tree and to my surprise, they worked great! For some pens, you might need to add a little painters tape around the tip (so it fits snug in the pen holder).
The Dollar Tree had these pens in various colors and black ink!
Plastic Folders
Yes, you can cut a plastic folder using your Cricut machine! The deep cut blade, rotary blade, and knife blade are amazing! Here are some Cricut craft ideas to use plastic folders!
–>>Get Dollar Store Plastic Folders here
Poster Board
Think of a poster board as a heavy cardstock. Whatever Cricut Craft project you make using heavy cardstock can be replaced with a poster board. The Dollar Tree has several colors in the poster board as well!
–>>Get Dollar Store Poster Board here
Stretched Canvas
Use Canvas to make Reversed Canvas projects using Iron-on, Vinyl, or the Cricut Pen feature. Remove the staples from the wood frame, place the canvas sheet on your Cricut mat and you can use pens or markers to draw your image right on the canvas. This is an awesome hack to try with stretched canvas from the Dollar Tree. My local Dollar Tree has several sizes available (including 8 x 10)!
–>>Get Dollar Store Canvas here
Scissors
If you are a Crafter, you probably already own scissors, but it’s worth mentioning that the Dollar Store has scissors that you can use for Cricut projects.
–>>Get Dollar Store Scissors here
Glue
I’m so happy that the Dollar Tree carries my FAVORITE tacky glue! I use this tacky glue on every material (fabric, wood, foam, paper, etc) and love it! This tacky glue dries clear and adheres well! I used to pay $7 a bottle at craft stores but not anymore!
You’ll need tape for Cricut cut projects (just like glue) so save some money buy buying tape from the Dollar Tree! I also use tape (painters tape or masking tape) to secure think materials to my mats (like heavy chipboard, foam, basswood) when using the Knife blade!
Chipboard
The Dollar Tree doesn’t sell chipboard but they do sell small shipping boxes and cereal boxes that can be used in place of chipboard. Craft stores charge $1.99 for one 12 x 12-inch sheet of chipboard, but the Dollar Tree has small shipping boxes that you can cut open and get for half the price.
–>>Get Dollar Store Shipping Boxes here
Burlap
The Dollar Tree sells burlap ribbon in the floral section, which can be used for various Cricut projects when cutting small shapes.
–>>Get Dollar Store Burlap Ribbon here
Fabric
Yes, Dollar Tree sells fabric (in fat quarters!) but if you can’t find fabric at your local store, they do sell fabric items that can be used to cut fabric with a Cricut Maker machine.
I saw these table runners in various colors that can be used for fabric projects.
–>>Keep in mind that you can find $0.97 Fat Quarters in Walmart stores fabric section as well!
–>>See how I used Fat Quarters to make Cricut Scrunchies in this post!
Terry Cloth
Another “fabric” that can be found at the Dollar Tree is Terry Cloth (hand towels) that can be cut with the Cricut Maker machine.
Duck Tape
Cricut.com has duck tape sheets but why not make your own? Use the backside (paper) of the clear shelf liner (or the paper side of vinyl that you would toss anyway) and attach duck tape to the paper to make your own sheets. Then use your Cricut machine to cut the Dollar Store duck tape!
–>>See more Cricut Duck Tape ideas here
Tissue Paper
Tissue paper is delicate but Cricut can cut it too!

Washi Tape
Just like Duck Tape, Cricut can cut “Washi Tape Sheets.” You can also use the Cricut pen to make washi tape labels!
