The easiest way to make a Christmas bow at home is to use a table runner found at Dollar Tree. I prefer this hot glue gun method because it’s the easiest method to make a giant bow.

This tutorial simplifies bow-making for beginners! All you need is 2 table runners from Dollar Tree and hot glue.

I made this Viral Giant Bow Dollar Tree DIY Christmas Decor using a no-sew method and spent under $4.00 to make it. I saw similar bows listed on Etsy for $500!
Supplies:
- Dollar Tree Table Runner (2)
- Hot Glue
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Posterboard (optional)
Directions:
- Gather Supplies. Watch the video below for more instructions.
- Iron the table runners to remove the creases.
- Create the loops for the bow. Take one table runner and form a loop by bringing the two ends together, and securing the center with a hot glue gun.
- Fold the second table runner so the length-wise side pieces meet in the center (it should look like a huge men’s tie) and press with your clothes iron.
- Then fold the second table runner in half so you can determine the center and cut 11 inches from the center, leaving you with 2 long strips and one 10-inch stripe
- Next, fold the 10-inch strip in half length-wise, and hot glue it together.
- Glue the back sides of the 2 long tails using hot glue.
- Then fold the cut top corners of each tail and hot glue them to the back of the center of the bow.
- Then wrap the 10-inch strip around the center of the bow and hot glue it in place. Fold any excess fabric under and secure with hot glue.
- Display as you’d like or if you prefer the bow to be poofier, cut 2 pieces of coordinating color posterboard and glue them inside the bow.
