I grabbed one simple round mirror from Dollar Tree and challenged myself:

DIY #1 – Round Leather Mirror (Modern Wall Decor)
Supplies
- Dollar Tree round mirror
- Faux leather or craft leather
- Hot glue
- Scissors
- Leather strip (optional for hanging)
Quick Tutorial
- Cut leather wide enough to wrap around the frame.
- Hot glue around the mirror edge.
- Add a leather strap at the top for a modern hanging look.
✨ This is the one that makes people say ‘That’s from Dollar Tree?!’ The leather instantly makes it look designer. Perfect for entryways, offices, or a neutral boho vibe.
DIY #2 – Beaded Round Mirror (Pottery Barn Inspired)
Supplies
- Round mirror
- Wood beads (various sizes)
- Hot glue
- Spray paint (black, gold, or linen)
Quick Tutorial
- Glue beads around the outer edge.
- Let dry fully.
- Spray paint in one cohesive tone for a designer look.
✨ This gives major high-end statement mirror energy. It’s bold, it’s fun, and it looks like art
DIY #3 – Round Mirror Tray with Leather Handles
Supplies
- Round mirror
- Thin wood board or foam board backing
- Faux leather strips
- Screws or glue
- Optional furniture feet
Quick Tutorial
- Attach mirror to backing for stability.
- Secure leather strips on each side as handles.
- Add small feet underneath if desired.
✨ Perfect for coffee tables, vanities, or kitchen styling.
DIY #4 – Beaded Mirror Riser
Supplies
- 2 round Dollar Tree mirrors
- Wood beads (Dollar Tree / Amazon)
- Hot glue gun + glue sticks
- White spray paint (or acrylic paint)
- Cardboard / drop cloth
Quick Tutorial
- Glue wood beads around the edge of one mirror.
- Glue the second mirror on top to create a “sandwich.”
- Let dry completely.
- Spray paint the entire piece white (2 light coats).
- Let cure and style with candles, plants, or decor.
💡 Tip: Light coats = no drips.
This isn’t even a mirror anymore — it’s a high-end riser. It makes anything you style on it look expensive. This is the piece that made me rethink what a mirror can be. It’s not just a mirror — it’s a decorative riser that looks store-bought and polished.
DIY #5 – Statement Beaded Mirror Wall Piece
Supplies
- 1 round Dollar Tree mirror
- Plastic eggs or large beads
- Hot glue gun + glue sticks
- Spray paint (neutral, pastel, or bold color)
- Cardboard base (optional, for extra strength)
- Command hooks / wall hangers
Quick Tutorial
- Arrange eggs/beads around the mirror to plan spacing.
- Hot glue each piece around the edge.
- (Optional) Glue mirror to cardboard backing.
- Spray paint everything evenly.
- Let dry and hang as wall decor.
💡 Tip: Neutral colors = higher “high-end” look on camera.
