One of my favorite ways to justify buying a craft machine is to use it for personal projects AND create products I could potentially sell later.
For my daughter’s Sweet 16 birthday party, I challenged myself to create custom party decorations, personalized gifts, and keepsakes using the xTool M2.
While making these projects, I kept thinking the same thing:
“People would absolutely buy these.”

One of the biggest statement pieces at the party was a set of oversized Sweet 16 letters displayed on our backyard trellis.
Large personalized party signs are incredibly popular because they create a focal point for photos and instantly make a party feel custom.
How I Made It
- Designed the letters in xTool Creative Space
- Cut the letters from thin wood using the xTool M2
- Painted them hot pink to match the party theme
- Attached them to the trellis fence

For this project, I combined printed elements with layered wood pieces to create a dimensional design.
How I Made It
- Printed the camera design using the xTool M2 print feature
- Cut layered Sweet 16 pieces from wood
- Assembled the layers with adhesive
- Attached topper sticks to the back

- Placed the leather strap inside the xTool M2
- Added custom text
- Laser engraved the design directly into the leather

4. Custom Candy Jar Lids
Instead of using plain candy containers, I created custom wooden lids to elevate the candy display.
This small detail made the entire dessert table look more polished.
How I Made It
- Measured the jar openings
- Created circular lid templates
- Cut them from wood using the xTool M2
- Finished and attached them to the jars

Custom lids work for candy bars, wedding dessert tables, baby showers, bridal showers, and event rentals.

- Proper exhaust setup
- An air purifier
