🐚 DIY Seashell Wall Art with Cricut Vinyl (Vacation Memory Keepsake)
Do you have a pile of seashells tucked away from your favorite beach trips? Instead of letting them sit in a box, turn them into meaningful DIY wall art! This project is extra special to me because the seashells came from our own family vacations. Now, instead of collecting dust, they’re displayed in a piece of art that makes me smile every time I walk past it. With a little creativity (and my Cricut machine for the finishing touch), I turned these seashells into a memory-filled display that doubles as home décor. Keep reading and watch the video to see this Cricut DIY Seashell Wall Art!
Supplies You’ll Need
(affiliate links – thanks for supporting Simple Made Pretty!)
- Shadowbox frame or old wood sign
- Seashells (collected or buy similar here)
- Fast-Grab Tacky Glue (Dries Clear!)
- Glitter + beads + small trinkets for sparkle ✨
- Cricut cutting machine (I used this Cricut)
- Permanent vinyl + transfer tape
- Scissors or weeding tool
How to Make Seashell Wall Art
- Arrange your shells. Play around with different layouts until you find one you love. I made both a heart shape and a circle design to highlight our shells.
- Glue in place. Once you’re happy with the arrangement, glue the shells inside your shadowbox frame. I like to start with the largest shells first, then fill in with smaller shells.
- Add sparkle. Sprinkle in glitter, beads, or tiny trinkets to fill gaps and add texture. This gives your art a little shimmer when the light hits it.
- Cricut vinyl decal. Cut a favorite quote or word with your Cricut (I chose a short beach-inspired quote). Apply the decal to the outside of the shadowbox glass with transfer tape. This step is what makes the project feel polished and professional!
- Display. Hang your seashell wall art or place it on a shelf. Every time you look at it, you’ll be reminded of those special family moments at the beach. 🌊
Why I Love This Project
This isn’t just wall art — it’s a memory keeper. Every seashell has a story, and now instead of hiding them away, they’re part of our home. The Cricut decal gave it the finishing touch that tied it all together.
Plus, this project is:
- Budget-friendly (use what you already have!)
- Customizable (pick any shape or decal)
- Meaningful (your own family memories on display)
