Cruise Capsule Wardrobe (Amazon Favorites)
I aim to travel light without sacrificing style, so I plan a mini capsule wardrobe with pieces I can wear more than once. Everything below fits easily in a carry-on and still leaves room for souvenirs!
- 👚 Linen Shorts & Tanks: Lightweight, breathable, and mix + match friendly
- 👗 Breezy Sun Dresses: Cute enough for dinner, comfy enough for daytime
- 👖 Neutral Jumpsuit: Easy one-and-done outfit for evenings
- 🤍 White Outfit for White Night: I wore a white midi skirt + sleeveless eyelet top
Pro tip: Rewear your dinner outfit on a second night with different accessories to save space.
Cruise Shoes: Less Is More
Shoes take up the most room in your suitcase, so I stick to 3 pairs max:
- 🩴 Flat Sandals: Wear to the pool, beach, or around the ship
- 👟 Supportive Sneakers: Perfect for port days or walking the ship
- 👡 Low Wedges or Dressy Sandals: For dinners or dress-up nights
I brought these metallic slide sandals and wore them almost every evening — comfy and elevated!
Swimsuits & Cover-Ups
We spent every day in swimwear between the ship’s pools, Perfect Day at CocoCay, and Nassau beach time. You don’t need a new suit for every day — 2 or 3 max will do if you plan to rinse and rewear.
- 👙 Flattering One–Piece: Supportive and perfect for chasing kids
- 👙 Fun Bikini Set: I wore this with a blue striped button-up shirt as a cover-up
- 👘 Flowy Cover-Up or Sarong: Lightweight and packable

Cruise Skincare & Travel Makeup
Humidity, heat, and SPF = a minimal makeup routine! I packed lightweight skincare and a few multitasking products:
- 🌞 SPF Tinted Moisturizer: Protects + hydrates while giving a minimal makeup vibe .
- 🧼 Mini Cleanser + Night Cream Duo: My go-to travel set! It’s the perfect amount for 7 days and gives a vacay glow!
- 💄 Tinted Serums + Creamy Blush: Glowy + mom-friendly
- 💧 Makeup Remover Wipes: Travel-sized for those late nights when you need a quick makeup remover.
This Amazon travel toiletry bag (included in this set) made organizing everything so easy — hangs up in the cruise bathroom too!
Family Travel Gear That Saved Us
You know I love a good organization hack — and these Amazon items helped us stay sane and clutter-free in our cruise cabin:
- 🧳 Compression Packing Cubes: My #1 travel must-have
- 🎒 Tech Organizer: Holds all our chargers, earbuds, and cords
- 🔋 Portable Chargers: We don’t leave for port without them
- 💧 Refillable + Collapsible Water Bottles: Easy hydration without buying drinks
- 🎧 Noise-Canceling Headphones: For your teens (and your sanity)
These items worked great on our Bahamas cruise and during our Alaska cruise adventure too!
Bonus: Amazon Extras That Made a Big Difference
- 👜 Lightweight Beach Tote: Doubled as a pool bag and carry-on
- 🤳 Waterproof Phone Pouch: Essential for beach days + photos
- 🧺 Laundry Bag + Wet/Dry Bag: To keep dirty/wet clothes separate
- 🎧 Bluetooth Speaker: For chill balcony mornings or cabin dance parties
- 🧴 Mini First Aid Kit: Bandaids, Tylenol, and motion sickness bands
Final Tips for Packing Like a Pro
- Plan outfits by day, not just by type. It helps you avoid overpacking!
- Use packing cubes to stay organized in your cabin. I left my clothes in the packing cubes in the drawers!
- Bring a foldable canvas tote bag for dirty clothes or souvenirs.
- Pack your wine + soda (permitted limits) in your carry-on! I use a wine bag from Publix to carry up to 4 bottles easily.
