Have you enjoyed the outdoors this Spring yet? Does your outdoor space need a little pick-me-up? If it’s been a while since you have used your outdoor space (all Winter long), you probably need to revitalize your space. Below are 20 Ways to Revitalize Your Outdoor Space for Spring so you can enjoy the full benefits of your outdoor space.
20 Ways to Revitalize Your Outdoor Space for Spring
1.Clean, wash or paint your patio furniture
Does your furniture need a little touch-up? Winters can be harsh leaving furniture in bad condition. Take a look at your furniture to see what you can do to improve the look. Wipe down furniture or add a quick coat of paint.
2. De-clutter the deck/patio/porch
Remove anything you don’t plan to use (old toys, unsalvageable furniture, grills, potted plants, etc). Removing clutter can immediately change the look of your outdoor space.
3. Sweep/wash the deck/patio/porch
Consider pressure washing, deep cleaning, and painting your outdoor space.
4. Clean the grill
Get ready for cooking outdoors with a clean grill!
5. Check outdoor lights or add lighting
Check bulbs and light fixtures. Repair or replace if necessary. Adding a string of outdoor lights provides additional light and decor to outdoor spaces.
6. Clean windows and doors leading to your outdoor living space
Wipe down the windows and doors leading to your outdoor space. Clean door grooves and kick-plates as well.
7. Add plants and/or flowers
Add some bright flowers or greenery to your outdoor living space to liven things up.
8. Remove and prune dead plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs
Say goodbye to plants destroyed by winter by removing them. Prune bushes and shrubs to give a clean look.
9. Add fresh mulch to flower beds
Adding a fresh color of mulch improves the look of landscaping giving it a finishing touch.
10. Mow the lawn
Give your grass a fresh haricut to give it life after a long winter.
11. Add a few citronella candles or plants
Spring means more bugs (and snakes) will start appearing. Add some pest-repelling candles or plants to your outdoor living space to keep them at bay.
12. Add pillows or cushions to outdoor seating/furniture
Make your outdoor seating more inviting by adding cozy elements.
13. Clean, wash or paint the garage door(s)
Inspect your doors outside (front door included) and clean or consider adding a fresh coat of paint.
14. Remove cobwebs in the garage and outdoor storage areas
Clean corners of the garage or shed. Consider painting the walls if necessary.
15. De-clutter the garage
Remove everything and sort through supplies including old paint, tools, seasonal items, storage, gardening supplies, etc. Donate, sell, recycle, or trash items you no longer use. Find step-by-step instructions to organize your garage here.Â
16.Clean the garage floor
Consider deep cleaning the garage floor or painting. Deep clean with a Concrete Cleaner a Heavy Duty Scrub Brush and a pressure washer.
