Measure and cut 4-6 feet of fishing line. I used $12 in Dollar Tree ornaments to make a 4-foot ball garland. I have a 6-foot garland on my mantel which cost around $16 to make.
Start by creating a loop with a knot at the end of the fishing line. The loop is how you will pick up the garland.
Tie the first ornament at the end where the loop starts but make sure the loop is still accessible.
Start adding ornaments randomly in various sizes and finishes. Carefully slide each ornament to the end of the garland until you have something like this.
Tie the last ornament the same as you did the first and tie another large loop at the end, just like you did on the other end.
Hang the garland on a mantel, shelf, or use it as a table centerpiece.
