I made this patchwork quilt using Tea Towels and fat quarter fabric found at Dollar Tree! If you have basic sewing skills and a sewing machine, you can make this quilt as well! I had materials leftover to make a matching patching envelope pillow cover too! Keep reading and watch the videos below to learn how to make this Dollar Tree Quilt Blanket and Pillow!
Gather supplies. Watch the videos below for more instructions.
Use the Quilter's Square to cut several squares from the fabric.
Arrange the squares on a table or the floor to achieve your desired pattern.
Pin all the squares together.
Use a sewing machine to sew all the squares together.
Place the flat sheet on a table of the floor, then place the batting on top of the sheet, then place the finished squares on top of the batting (like a sandwich).
Use pins to attach the finished squares to the batting and flat sheet.
Sew a pattern or sew along the edges of each square through the thick fabrics.
Finish by sewing the edges of the blanket.
Trim the edges and sew bias tape around the edge to finish the blanket.
