Top 10 Organizing Supplies
The best way to organize clutter is to get rid of the clutter right? I agree that it doesn’t make sense to spend money buying more stuff in order to get organized, but there are certain organizing items that can help create a functional, simplified home.
1. Wall Hook/Coat Rack System
I’m not kidding when I say that I have wall hooks ALL OVER our house. We have one by the garage door, on the back of the entryway closet door, on the back of the bathroom door, hanging in both kid’s bedrooms and in the guest room – seriously, these can go anywhere in your home!

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone leaves their jacket on the back of a chair or they throw it on furniture, ugh – it just drives me nuts! By placing these hooks right by the door, everyone has a place to hang their jacket and I keep my sanity 😉
Here’s how you can use wall hooks to organize your home:
- Hang handbags, backpacks, coats, dog leash/items, and keys by the entryway door
- Use in the bathroom to hang towels, robes, and other wet items
- Use in your guest room for guests to hang their jacket, purse, clothes
- They are great for the back of bedroom closet doors to hang jewelry, neckties, belts, scarves or your favorite hoodie 🙂
- Hang in your kid’s bedroom for clothes and other “kid stuff” to get things off the floor
If you want to create some organization in your home and reduce clutter, you NEED a few of these wall hooks in your life. Thank me later 🙂

I use plastic baskets from the Dollar Tree or Ikea in my craft room, our basement storage, in our kid’s closet for seasonal clothes, and in our mudroom for small seasonal items (like winter gloves, summer hats, etc).

9. Paper Shredder and Recycling Bins
Stop the paper madness now by investing in a good shredder and recycling bins. A good rule of thumb is to store your shredder and recycling bin near the door as the paper comes into your home. This way you can shred and toss what you don’t need as you walk into your home.
- Shredder – I’ve had one for years and it eliminates confidential paperwork and old credit cards easily!
- Recycling Bins – organize recyclable items

32 Home Management Printables that REALLY Work!
No one should have to feel overwhelmed by homemaking because it costs too much or they can’t get the help they need.
When it comes to homemaking, do you ever struggle with everything on your to-do list? The cleaning, the cooking, the laundry, the organizing, the home projects… shall I keep going?
You are not alone.
Maybe you can relate to these statements:
- “I can never find the time to clean and organize”
- “I’m tired of feeding my family take-out for dinner”
- “I have no idea why we are always broke!”
- “I’m not sure how to start so I just keep reading stuff & doing nothing”
- “I struggle with doing “all the stuff” to create a perfect home”
I’ve said all of these before by the way.
Almost all homemakers struggle with these points – whether you work outside the home or not, whether you have 0 kids or 12. Since I was struggling in these areas (and thought you might be as well), I created some encouraging and useful resources to overcome the most common homemaking struggles.
Everything you need to take your homemaking strategy to the next level is included in the Homemaking Printable Pack. I’ve been using the goodies included in the printable pack and the resources have significantly changed my home management strategy.
